I have found it odd that everybody seems quite insistent that the Provos were the ones responsible for Gareth O'Connor's death when he was a tout against the RIRA, apparently the one behind the four men arrested in Coalisland about 15 months before his disappearance. The four were acquitted when the government couldn't produce its star witness (O'Connor).
